About this list
GovAPI Atlas is an index of the APIs and web services that national government open-data portals publish. This edition's list was read from data.gov.sg on 2026-10-11 and is refreshed every week. GovAPI Atlas does not host the APIs; you apply for and call them on the portal itself.
What is included
Datasets on data.gov.sg whose format is API, read from the portal's dataset list (v2 public API). The portal's CSV and GeoJSON datasets can also be queried through the same API, but they are file datasets, so they are left out.
Source
Contains information from data.gov.sg which is made available under the terms of the Singapore Open Data Licence version 1.0 (https://data.gov.sg/open-data-licence).
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an API key to use data.gov.sg APIs?
No, all data.gov.sg APIs are public and can be called without an API key for testing. For production workflows, data.gov.sg strongly recommends an API key, which gives higher rate limits, prioritised support and maintenance updates. Source
How do I get a data.gov.sg API key?
You sign in or sign up on data.gov.sg with your email address and a one-time password, then click Create API Key and request either a Developer key for testing or a Production key for operational use. After you describe your intended use and click Create, the key is generated and shown once, so you need to store it securely. Source
What are the rate limits on data.gov.sg APIs?
Limits are counted per 10 second window: v2 real-time APIs allow 6 calls without a key, 12 with a Dev key and 30 with a Prod key; Datastore Search allows 4, 8 and 20; Dataset Downloads allow 2, 4 and 10. Exceeding a limit returns HTTP 429, and data.gov.sg says it is still fine-tuning these values. Source
Can I use data.gov.sg datasets in a commercial product?
Yes, under the Singapore Open Data Licence you may use, copy, distribute, modify and adapt the datasets commercially or non-commercially. You must show a conspicuous notice naming the source of the data with a link to the latest version of the licence, and the licence does not cover personal data or third-party rights. Source
Do data.gov.sg API keys expire?
Yes, each API key has an expiration date that you can see in the API Keys section of the dashboard. data.gov.sg emails reminders 3 months, 1 month, 3 weeks and 1 week before a key expires, with a link to manage or renew it. Source
