GovAPI Atlas is an index of the APIs and web services that national government open-data portals publish. This edition's list was read from Data.gov on 2026-10-11 and is refreshed every week. GovAPI Atlas does not host the APIs; you apply for and call them on the portal itself.
What is included
Records on catalog.data.gov that have at least one distribution typed as an API or a web service (API, ArcGIS REST, OGC WMS, WFS). Data.gov search has no format filter, so we search for API, WMS and WFS and keep only records whose distributions carry one of those types. About 7,300 of them are Bureau of Reclamation RISE time series (Department of the Interior), one record per site and measure; their API entries carry no address in the catalog, so open the record to reach the API.
